White Chocolate Lava Cake

  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 3/4th Cup White Granulated Sugar
  • 1 & 1/4th of White Chocolate roughly chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla essence
  • 4 large or 5 medium to small eggs ( At room temperature )
  • Pinch of salt
  • Extra Butter and Flour for Greasing



Butter the ramekins or cupcake moulds and dust with some flour and keep aside.

In a separate bowl beat the eggs and sugar.

Add in the vanilla and beat again until well combined.

In a separate bowl add the butter and the white chocolate ( Both roughly chopped ) and place on a double boiler until just melted, be carful not to burn the chocolate.

Let the chocolate cool for some time and then add it to the egg mixture stirring continuously.

Finally add in the salt and flour and mix until just combined.

Fill this mixture in the previously greased moulds and bake in a pre heated oven at 175 C for 15 to 17 minutes

The cake should not be fully baked at the centre.

Remove from the oven and let it sit for 2 minutes.

Loosen the edges with the knife carefully and invert on the serving plate.

Drizzle some dark chocolate sauce and serve immediately.

Your White Chocolate Cake with a surprise centre is ready !
